I actually received this book at my baby shower and loved it SO much I bought this one for a friend who just found she is pregnant. I cannot express enough how much this book has been a life saver. Since my son was born we've referred to the book so many times and its helped us everytime! I love the fact that you can just look up a certain instance and find the answer you are looking for and it gives you numerous options for every parenting type, no reading endless paragraphs with pointless opinions, just simple straight forward answers you are looking for. It really caters to all different types of parenting. From A-Z the book is the one every new mother needs! The best out there! Its now my go-to baby shower gift.

This is a great reference for first-time parents. It provides practical advice written by an expert in a straightforward, organized way without being too dumbed-down (I come from a science background so pretty picky about medical info and how it's presented - the emphasis on science to support any recommendations is commendable). I highly recommend.

Our pediatrician recommended this book to us on our first visit with our first baby. This book reads like a reference book. You do not need to read it from cover to cover. When it was 3am and my husband and I were in a haze, we could easily search a topic in the index (and every topic we've encountered has been covered and more), get a clear Yes or No to your questions, and then have the option to read on for an explanation. I wish I knew about this book when I was pregnant because it covers topics like finding a pediatrician. We have given this book as gifts to all of our friends and family for baby shower presents. We recommend this book hands down even after buying "What to Expect When You Are Expecting - The First Year" before we knew about Baby 411. You will not be disappointed.
