| Customer Reviews: temperamental sorter April 11, 2010 Gail 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This sorter has shapes that are a precise fit making it more difficult to line up with their respective holes. The shapes have to be put in from the top of the drum because the internal parts are in the way when you try to put shapes through holes at the sides. When you push down on the trunk the shapes are supposed to empty out but they sometimes get stuck. A fun concept but frustrating for my 11 month old.
Great toy! September 9, 2009 Avid Reader (Tucker, GA USA) I just bought this toy for my 9-month old. It is so neat. Wind the tail to turn the body, put the shapes in, then pull on the ears or push the trunk to empty the pieces out. My 9-month-old can not put the shapes in by herself yet, but she loves to turn the body of the elephant and dump the shapes out of his trunk. Very cute toy.
Fun for 1 year old July 6, 2009 S. Geisler (Farmington Hills, MI) This was a birthday present for my 1 year old. Shapes fit easily into elephant body, and he likes to watch them come out the trunk when I press on the ears. Sometimes he just sticks them back in the trunk too :) All the shapes stack together (see the amazon picture- the pink and orange shapes are connected), so that is added fun time too as he tries to fit them together.
ok shape sorter June 1, 2009 toddlermom my daughter doesnt absolutely love this. i think one with an opening door and keys would be more interesting to her. shapes tough to get out of trunk.
My Daughter Loves It. April 2, 2009 Margo Upson (Central NY) My daughter, almost 18 months, got this product as a Christmas gift. She loves playing with it, and is starting to figure out how to get the right shapes in the right holes. I love that the pieces snap together, making it harder to lose them.
My only complaint is that it is really easy to pinch your fingers if they are inside the elephant and you turn the center piece, which is easy to do, as it turns pretty easy.
Other than that, this is a great product, and I highly recommend it.
